My Sacred Ceremony offers Celebrations in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico, a magical, romantic destination for weddings that can have an old world ambience, without a passport. Every season of the year has an inviting charm all its own. The fragrance of spring blossoms. The busy streets and galleries of summer. The magnificent colors of autumn’s leaves and strings of chili peppers. The lights of farolitos sparkling on snow covered adobe walls and roof lines.

Creating your Celebration to express your unique vision is of primary importance to Rev. Walker. She will work with you using your ideas and words to create the perfect ceremony for this special Celebration. 

Whether on impulse, like the couple headed for Las Vegas, who realized that Santa Fe was a much more romantic and, for them, more meaningful destination, or the perfectly orchestrated wedding of your dreams that you have planned for years, I will work with you, and a wedding planner if you like , in making this your beautiful and memorable day.

An ordained nondenominational minister, Rev. Walker honors all creeds, races, and lifestyles. She performs weddings, vows of renewal, unions of commitment, handfastings, and nontraditional, spiritual and alternative wedding ceremonies. Celebrating the love and union of two lives is a wonderful occasion. Our goal will be to create a ceremony that brings your dreams into reality.

Even the simple weddings and ceremonies of union bring you into the creation. Honoring the two that are becoming one in your own unique way.

The many worlds of Santa Fe and the surrounding mountains and high desert offer a variety of possibilities for your Celebration. Do you envision an intimate gathering by a kiva fireplace, or in a Southwestern garden? Will you choose to Celebrate with many family and friends in one of the luxurious spas and resorts? Have you considered one of the area’s picturesque National Forests or State Parks? Maybe you will check out the Randall Davey Audubon Center? These are just a few of your choices. Yes, so very many possibilities.

Ceremony Choices:

A Ceremony from the Heart is a ceremony we create from my existing materials with about 20 guests, including wedding party. Upon receiving the deposit I will email/mail you a questionnaire and a collection of nondenominational, heartfelt wordings for vows, rings, reading, and blessings for you to review. The selection consultation can take place over the phone or by email/mail. If you will need assistance in finding witnesses please read below. $179.00(weekdays); $214.00(weekends)

Uniquely Yours is a customized ceremony which includes assistance with creating your personal vows, intentions and other unique wording. First I will send a questionnaire for the two of you to consider. After I have looked over your responses, I will make suggestions and we will enjoy the creation form there.  Creating these Celebrations start at $279.00(weekdays); $314.00(weekends) Additional consultation and more elaborate arrangements may require more involvement, which we will discuss at our initial contact. When your ceremony is more detail oriented, my fees are an additional $65.00/hour.

Reservation Deposit

A reservation deposit fee of one half (1/2) the agreed total is necessary for all ceremonies. This fee will hold your choice of time and date. The fee is completely refundable if cancellation is 30 days before the celebration and we have not begun consultation. Once consultation has begun a modest fee of $70.00 will help cover time and information shared with you. This basically says that I will do my best to respect your time and needs and to help you create the celebration of your dreams. I only ask the same of you. Your time and dates will be held from the time payment is received (see payments below). So if payment is by check it will be held from the time the check is received until the deposit clears, up to 10 days. Do remember that couples wishing to book the same date are not unusual. Therefore others will be given the choice after ten days if payment has not cleared.

When submitting deposit or payment, please include both full names, date, time and location of ceremony as well as contact information: address, day/night telephone, email.

Unfortunately there must be a $25.00 NSF fee for all returned checks.

Rehearsal Attendance
For my attendance at a rehearsal please add $97.00 plus travel.

Travel Fees
Yes, we will travel to your destination. If your ceremony is within 20 miles of Santa Fe there is no additional charge.

Travel within 20 to 50 miles of Santa Fe will add $22.50.

If we travel 50 to 85 miles outside of Santa Fe the fee is $47.50.

Beyond that, let’s discuss options including the possible need for lodging. And traveling great distances may require an assistant.

Assistance in locating witnesses

If you are traveling or otherwise need help, I will be happy to assist in finding witnesses. Do be prepared to offer $50.00 per witness for appreciation of their time and effort.

Larger groups
As a spiritual leader, an important part of my service to you is to hold the sacred energy we have created for you and your guests. Larger groups must have additional focus on my part. Such gatherings often require that I have an assistant, which is included in these fees.
For larger groups, more than 20 guests, please add
21- 50 guests: $49.00,
50- 100 guests $64.00, and
100- 200 guests $89.00.
Larger gatherings can be negotiated.

What method of payment is available for the celebration?

For your convenience I can take a credit card payment (Visa or Master Card) by phone or you may send a check. If you are paying by check it should be received at least 1 week prior to the ceremony. We would appreciate cash if payment is made at the Ceremony.

What happens if I need to change the date?
We will make every effort to accommodate your needs. But please be aware we may have other commitments and that there may be a need to negotiate your new date. If we cannot accommodate your new plans we will assist you in finding a replacement for our services. If you find it necessary to choose another minister please understand we will need to apply the cancellation policies.

What if something beyond my control happens at the last minute and we can't do the wedding?

We’ll simply discuss it, of course!
